Potato Dextrose Broth is a liquid medium used for the cultivation and isolation of yeasts and molds from dairy and food products. The nutritionally rich base provided by Potato Infusion and Dextrose encourages mold sporulation and pigment production in some fungi. The low pH inhibits bacterial growth but allows fungi to flourish
