Description
General Description
Our Zymogram Renaturing Buffer [10X] is used to renature proteins on zymogram gels after electrophoresis, by replacing the SDS with Triton-X100. After renaturing process, the Zymogram Development Buffer is used to initiate enzyme activity. Zymogram gels are commonly used to detect matrix metalloproteinases and they are excellent tools for detecting and characterizing proteases that utilize casein or gelatin as a substrate. Proteases are run on a gel containing one of these substrates under denaturing conditions and visualized as clear bands against a dark background following a simple renaturing, developing, and staining protocol.
Features of Zymogram Renaturing Buffer
• Ready to use Renaturing Buffer for protease analysis using zymogram gels
