Description
General Description
Acid Citrate Dextrose (ACD) Solution B, also known as Anticoagulant Citrate Dextrose Solution B is used as an anti-coagulant for whole blood and erythrocyte survival. It contains Citric acid (anhydrous) 4.4 g/L, Sodium citrate (dihydrate) 13.2 g/L and Dextrose (monohydrate) 14.7 g/L [USP].
Citrate-based anticoagulants prevent the coagulation of blood by virtue of the citrate ion’s ability to chelate ionized calcium present in the blood to form a non-ionized calcium-citrate complex.
Our Acid Citrate Dextrose (ACD) Solution B is supplied as a high quality, 0.22µm filter sterilized ready to use solution, packaged in sterile bottles for use as an anticoagulant in research studies only.
Disclaimer: The product Acid Citrate Dextrose (ACD) Solution B is designed for Research Use only and not intended for clinical diagnostic or therapeutic use in humans or animals.
