General Description
Luciferin potassium salt is readily soluble in aqueous buffers, chemiluminescent after oxidation by luciferase.
D-Luciferin may be used in luciferase-based bioluminescence imaging and cell-based high-throughput screening applications. ATP can be measured with a reagent made up of D-luciferin and luciferase from firefly. D-Luciferin may be used and studied as a partial agonist for G protein-coupled receptor-35 (GPR35).
