DPBS 1X without Calcium & Magnesium

Description

DPBS 1X without Calcium & Magnesium is Dulbecco’s formula PBS at 1X concentration and does not contain calcium and magnesium in it. Our DPBS 1X is prepared using high purity water (~18.2 MΩ) and supplied STERILE, filtered through 0.22 micron filter. DPBS is a balanced salt solution used in various cell culture applications, such as washing the cells before dissociation, transporting cells or tissue samples, diluting the cells for counting, and preparing laboratory reagents. The absence of calcium and magnesium in DPBS without Calcium & Magnesium helps in rinsing chelators from the culture before cell dissociation.

DPBS 1X Contains:

137 mM NaCl, 2.7 mM KCl, 10 mM Na₂HPO₄, and 1.8 mM KH₂PO₄ at pH 7.4

(NO Calcium and Magnesium present)

Applications:

DPBS 1X without Calcium & Magnesium is used:

1. As a buffer system in maintaining the cell culture media at physiological pH
2. Washing the cells before dissociation
3. Transporting cells or tissue samples
4. Diluting the cells for counting
5. Diluent of fresh red blood cells to study the trapping of red blood cell aggregate
