The buffer utilizes a proprietary non-ionic detergent and is effective in extracting proteins from gram positive and gram negative bacteria. In addition, it also offers several-fold increases in the yield of soluble proteins and the extracted proteins are highly stable, since there is no repeated freezing and thawing steps.
