Nutrient Gelatin is used to provide nutrients and detect gelatin liquefaction by proteolytic microorganisms. In addition to Gelatin, used to detect gelatinase (enzyme liquefying this protein) activity, Nutrient Gelatin contains Peptic Digest of Animal Tissue and Beef Extract as nutrient sources.
