General Description
Our β-Galactosidase Assay Kit can be used to check the transfection efficiency by measuring the β-Gal activity in the cells and is suitable for cell suspensions. Lac Z is one of the most frequently monitored reporter gene used in the transfection experiments because of its product specific properties. β-Galactosidase has resistant to proteolytic degradation and is ideal for quantitatively measuring the high expression level of ß-gal. The levels of active ß-gal expression can be quickly measured by its catalytic hydrolysis of O-Nitrophenyl- ß-D-galactopyranoside (ONPG), substrate to a bright yellow product, which can be read at 420nm.
