General Description
Our Tris-Acetate-SDS Running Buffer [20X] contains 1 M Tris, 1 M Tricine and 2 % SDS. When diluted to 1X with DI Water, it gives 50 mM Tris, 50 mM Tricine, 0.1 % SDS and pH ~ 8.24.
This buffer is formulated for running proteins on Bis-Tris and Tris-Acetate gels, including ThermoFisher Scientific NuPAGE® gels, and is preferred for separating small- to medium-sized proteins. Tris-Acetate-SDS Running Buffer when used with Tris-Acetate gels, provide an excellent separation of large molecular weight proteins. This buffer is formulated for separation of proteins in their denatured state to resolve native proteins more effectively.
