General Description
Trypsin is a serine protease that specifically cleaves peptide bonds at the carboxyl side of arginine (R) and lysine (K) residues. It is used for peptide mapping and protein sequencing work due to its highly specific cleavage of peptides, resulting in a reproducible, limited number of fragments.
Our Mass Spec Grade Trypsin is TPCK-treated to inhibit chymotryptic activity, highly purified, and suitable for proteomics work.
