BLOTTO Blocking Buffer in TBS is supplied as 1X, prepared using high quality non-fat dry milk powder rich in proteins and buffering agents; contains 5% (w/v) nonfat dry milk in 25mM Tris, 150mM NaCl at pH 7.4. This buffer is useful as a blocking buffer to block free binding sites in the ELISA well, Western blot, Immuno-histochemistry and other immunological techniques. The Blotto Blocking Buffer in TBS is ready to use Blocking Buffer and doesn’t require any dilution.
This blocking buffer is one of the popular blocking buffers, used in a variety of applications, including Western blots, IHC, and ELISA. It can also be used as an antibody diluent, and contains preservatives for maximum usability. Being a milk protein-based blocking buffer, it may contain biotin that interferes with streptavidin and avidin systems, and we recommend using our BSA in TBS or BSA in PBS Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. 10615 and 10616), which are devoid of biotin.
