Aliases UDP-glucose–hexose-1-phosphate uridylyltransferase GALT Antibody Type Polyclonal Antibody Species Human Uniprot ID P07902 Immunogen Recombinant human Galactose-1-phosphate uridylyltransferase protein (1-379AA) Raised In Rabbit Species Reactivity Human Tested Applications ELISA;Not yet tested in other applications. Background / Function Galactose-1-phosphate uridyl transferase (GALT) catalyzes the second step of the Leloir pathway of galactose metabolism, namely the conversion of UDP-glucose + galactose-1-phosphate to glucose-1-phosphate + UDP-galactose. The absence of this enzyme results in classic galactosemia in humans and can be fatal in the newborn period if lactose is not removed from the diet. The pathophysiology of galactosemia has not been clearly defined. Isotype IgG Conjugate FITC Storage Buffer Preservative: 0.03% Proclin 300 Constituents: 50% Glycerol, 0.01M PBS, PH 7.4 Form Liquid Storage Shipped at 4°C. Upon delivery aliquot and store at -20°C or -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze.
