Safranin Stain

Safranin Stain is a widely used, versatile dye in histology, microbiology, and cytology, providing vibrant red or pink coloration to various cellular components. It is commonly employed for staining plant tissues, bacteria, and other cellular structures in both research and diagnostic applications. In microbiology, it is often used as a counterstain in Gram staining, where it colors Gram-negative bacteria red or pink, while Gram-positive bacteria retain the purple color from the crystal violet stain.
