Description
General Description
X-Gluc is a chromogenic substrate for β-glucuronidase (GUS) gene detection that produces insoluble, intense indigo-blue chromophore (615 nm) after enzymatic hydrolysis. It is useful for a variety of applications, including use in bacterial detection systems (e.g. E. coli).
It is routinely used to identify recombinants containing pBACgus vectors, and LIC GUS Control Insert.
