Cesium chloride is used to prepare solutions for the separation of RNA from DNA by density gradient centrifugation. It elicits potassium-blocking and is extensively utilized in animal cardiovascular research. Cesium chloride regimen also results in controlling cancer cell growth by targeting alkalinization of the neoplastic cells.
