General Description
AEBSF is an irreversible serine protease inhibitor with inhibition constants similar to those of PMSF and DFP. AEBSF readily offers broad-spectrum inhibition of trypsin, chymotrypsin, plasmin kallikrein and thrombin. As an alternative to PMSF and DFP, AEBSF offers lower toxicity, improved solubility in water and greater stability in aqueous solutions. It has been used in cell culture with concentrations of up to 0.25 mM.
